Fiskars Design Village 2012 (FDV 2012) is a series of exhibitions and events continuing throughout the year 2012, which will be held both at the Fiskars village and in Helsinki. The programme for the year will feature eight exhibitions, related seminars and other additional events in Fiskars, an exhibition at Design Museum in Helsinki and smaller "shop window" exhibits in the Helsinki metropolitan region.
The programme considers the Fiskars Design Village phenomenon with reference to design, applied art and architecture. The various events present both existing work and visions of what the Fiskars village and its creative professionals can offer in the future. The exhibitions of 2012 are also part of the programme of World Design Capital Helsinki 2012. The FDV exhibitions and events are meant for everyone: the general public, Finnish and international experts, professionals and students. The additional events in particular are of a partly interactive nature.
