Paddling

The district of Fiskars Village is surrounded by magnificent natural wilderness and numerous lakes. SE-Action offers guided paddling trips in four separate locations. If you’re planning your own trip after midsummer or in early autumn, we’ll be happy to rent you canoeing equipment.

Guided paddling trips

Before your trip, our experienced guides provide guidance on paddling technique and safety. They also offer support and additional advice on safety issues during each trip. We stop for a rest in suitable locations as needed. Prices include all necessary paddling equipment including lifejackets. We use both canoes and kayaks. Canoes are open and carry paddlers at the front and back working together. In kayaks, which can carry either one or two people, paddlers sit in cockpits and paddle independently. Canoes and kayaks are both excellent choices for lake paddling.

Canoeing trips for groups

We organise customised paddling trips for groups. Companies, associations or groups who are interested in paddling are very welcome. Details of a typical trip follow:

The Simijärvi-Myllyjärvi route offers a real wilderness experience. We paddle along the shores of Lake Simijärvi to Lake Lutsjö and then make two short portéges to reach Lake Myllyjärvi. This trip takes 3-4 hours and ends with sauna and a meal on the shore of Lake Myllyjärvi.

Paddling with other enthusiasts

To make canoeing as easy as possible, we have ready-planned paddling trips which anyone can join. These trips are naturally very suitable for groups. Welcome! Paddling trips of summer and fall 2013 will be updated on the Events-page in spring 2013. In summer you can also rent paddling gear and take a trip on your own.
