The museum exhibition "Bread" tells the story about the bread’s way from the field to flour and through the baking oven to the dining table.
The Cooperative of Artisans, Designers and Artists in Fiskars is a unique community. All members of the Cooperative, founded 1996, live or work in Fiskars Village. All year round the Cooperative arranges high-quality exhibitions in the village, presenting crafts, design and art.
Fiskars museum offers something to do and see for visitors in all ages. The basic exhibitions that was renewed in 2014 presents the everyday life of iron workers from 17th century to previous days. The Upper works exhibition tells about the industrial development of the ironworks and in the Bakery visitors get a view on workers wife´s daily tasks. The exhibition in the Slaggbyggnaden attic gives you a genuine feeling of the 1940´s. Living history is presented by guided tours, dramatized workshops and events. In the summertime animals are kept on the museum area and visitors can enjoy the servings of Hammarbacken café.
28th June-11th August the Museum area comes alive with working displays and other activities.
Open: 1st June .-31st August Mon - Sun 11am to 5pm. 1st Sept. - 13th Jan. Wed - Sun 11am to 4pm.
