Jellyface

Fiskarsin ruukin taiteilijaresidenssin italialaiset vieraat Fausta Loda ja Giorgio Ferrari pitävät näyttelyä Jellyface-pehmoleluista ateljeessaan. Residenssitalo sijaitsee Siwan (kartalla nro. 16) takana. Näyttely avoinna ja taiteilijat tavattavissa la-su klo 11-17.

JELLYFACE is a jellyfishes' family who, due to the sea pollution, is forced to flee the ocean. They decide to move to the mainland to find a new home. To carry out this adventure each JELLYFACE has to choose a camouflage made by different materials according to it´s personality. Each JELLYFACE has it´s own charasteristics and dreams to realize. You can decide to keep them with you at home, but be careful... They can be dangerous!

JELLYFACE is a project between Giorgio, a graphic designer, and Fausta, a creative dress maker. The artistic duo based in Italy is creating new characters and enjoying the world of art toys since 2008. Their work is probably best described as a combination of surreal images, pop culture and a love for nature and disparate materials. Art toys are amazing and charming, they are what we are and, like a mirros, they reflect our society.
