LEAD! Festival @ Fiskars Village

LEAD! Festival academy week is held in Fiskars Village in August 2020. During the week there will be several training sessions and discussion that visitor can take part of.

The one week LEAD! festival is full of master classes, career workshops, discussions and clinics focusing on leading and mentor work in classical music. The founder and artistic leader of LEAD! Foundation is conductor Jukka-Pekka Saraste.

The program is aimed for young next generation conductors and classical mucisians in Finland and internationally. Some of the students will be joining in Fiskars and some by virtual connections.

Visitors have a chance to take part of the training sessions and discussions.

PROGRAM:

Monday 3.8.

15:30-17 – Conductors feedback and discussion with the students. Held at the Assembly Hall, FREE ENTRANCE. Number 1 on the map.

19:00 – Chamber music at the Assembly Hall: Shostakovich and Mendelssohn – first movement, FREE ENTRANCE. Number 1 on the map.

Tuesday 4.8.

15:30-17 – Conductors feedback and discussion with the students. Held at the Former Foundry, FREE ENTRANCE.Number 32 on the map.

19:00 – Chamber music at the Former Foundry, FREE ENTRANCE. Number 32 on the map.

Friday 7.8.

19:00 – Young conductors concert at the Old Knife factory:  Sibelius, Stravinsky and Haydn. Number 26 on the map. Tickets from  33,50€, buy your ticket here.

20:30 – After the concert the audience can join in for a discussion session with local artists.
